About This Calculator
This is an indicative residential estimate, not a quotation or KSEB bill simulator. It uses the current KSERC LT-I domestic energy and fixed-charge structure to infer consumption, then estimates generation and the published PM Surya Ghar CFA tiers. Electricity duty, fuel surcharge, meter rent, billing-period differences, ToD or zone accounting, banking charges, shading, equipment choices, and site conditions can change the result. A site assessment and recent bill review are required for a project quote.
The central CFA is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, capped at ₹78,000 for an eligible individual household. A system may be larger than 3 kW, but no additional central CFA is calculated above the first 3 kW. Generation can vary by location and roof conditions; KSEB domestic tariff rates are not district-specific.
Roof type affects the mounting system and installation cost — sloped roofs typically use hook-and-rail systems while flat roofs need angled ballast frames. Property type determines subsidy eligibility: PM Surya Ghar subsidy applies to residential connections only. Commercial properties have different KSEB tariff slabs which changes the savings calculation. Both factors help us give you the most relevant estimate.
